CountrySide Montessori School

“Where children love to learn, discover, and respect one another”

We hope that you had a most relaxing, enjoyable, and simply wonderful Spring Break! The weather was certainly summer like for the most part, and I am sure that many of you spent much time “out doors.” Our vegetables are thriving, especially the strawberries! Some of our tomato plants are already blooming. The snow peas, cucumbers, zucchini, lettuce, and parsley plants have also grown and will be a delight to the children when they return to school! Our little gardeners will continue to learn more about caring for vegetables and plants in the weeks to come!

  • School Photos are coming up! On April 17th, our school photographer, Scott Calmon Studio, will take individual and class photos around 9:00 am.
  • Parent Conferences will continue during the month of April. I will e-mail a schedule to everyone. Please let me know as soon as possible if you can attend the conference on that day. Should you be unable make it, I will reschedule our meeting. We will still have conferences on April 20th (no school), but not in May, as previously planned.
  • Open House! On April 22nd, from 2:00-4:00 P.M., we will have an Open House for prospective parents. Please help us spread the word to your friends, so that they might come and see the opportunities for an extraordinary early childhood education and learning environment for young children available at CountrySide Montessori.
  • Thanks to Our Gardening Volunteers! Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, Mrs. Skoglund (Nash and Luke’s mom), Mrs. Henchock (Spencer and Sage’s mom), Mrs. Ansoategui (Matthew’s mom), Mrs. Suiter, Sydney’s mom, Mrs. Barrett, Aryn’s mom, Mrs. Cooney, Matthew’s mom, Mrs. Rubio, Walker’s mom, and Maggie Harvey’s Grandfather, Mr. John! We are so pleased with our beautifully landscaped flower and vegetable beds. The children love to see their parents being involved in school activities. Thank you all for your generosity and “labor of love!”
  • April Birthdays: Adeleine will be 4 years old April 7th. Isabelle’s 4th birthday is April19th. Two days later, April 21st, her brother William will celebrate his 6th birthday! Congratulations and Happy Birthday to all! Baby Daxton James Ingram was born in April! Congratulations to the Ingram Family!
  • Gardening Day – April 26th! Mark your calendar for Thursday, April 26th, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m., to partner-up with us for a wonderful time of gardening with the children! We will weed, prune, and beautify our vegetable plots and flower gardens and place additional “stepping stones” around the school. Please help us select pretty places for your children’s hand print stepping stones. Years ago, our parents started a tradition of placing our students’ hand print plaques in our flower gardens. We would like to continue on with this beautiful tradition, honoring the children who attend CountrySide Montessori School.
  • In early May, James will move to Ireland with his mom and sister Ella to join his dad, who has been working in Ireland for about a year. We would like to give James a “Moving to Ireland” party on April 27th, from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM. Let us know if you would like to help organize this wonderful party for James and Ella. The Willard family has been enormously supportive of CountrySide, and Ella was our special summer assistant last year (with her mother)! We will greatly miss Abby, Ella and James, but our most cheerful wishes will accompany them on their new journey!
  • Summer Camp at CountrySide! Our summer camp weeks this year will again be educational, fun, and inspirational! Several children are already signed up for June’s Summer Day Camps! We are looking forward to a spectacular summer!
