Dear Parents,
Parents are searching for schools that are suitable for their young children for these precarious times. CountrySide Montessori School is a small school, offering a spacious, beautiful, safe indoor and outside educational environment, ready for children to explore and make new discoveries!
1. Our spacious room arrangement facilitates individual seating for children allowing them to focus and concentrate on their activities without being crowded by others.
2. We adhere to strict health requirements, such as daily temperature screening, using hand sanitizer before entering the classroom and a rigorous hand washing protocol, in addition to diligent daily disinfecting and sanitizing procedures. Children wash their hands upon entering the school, after sneezing, coughing, touching any part of their faces, before and after snack and lunch, and after playing outside and using the restroom. The school is also sanitized every month by North-West with a mist that kills the COVID -19 virus up to 30 days. It is totally safe for children, EPA approved and used in hospitals all over the US. We recommend face shields whenever possible.
3. Our pristine exclusive school is nationally accredited school by AMI, and offers an outstanding individualized program for each child, thus giving each student the opportunity to reach their potential. There are fewer than 200 Montessori schools in the nation accredited by the Association Montessori Internationale, the organization established by Dr. Maria Montessori for the adherence of her educational methodology.
4. Our classes are small, ideal for feeling comfortable and receiving maximum benefit of the world renown curriculum.
5. The head of school, Hannelore Gottschalk, holds a bachelor’s degree in German and French and a Master’s in Child Development and family living. She is a trained and certified AMI Montessori teacher and is the Montessori Guide at CountrySide. She founded the school in 2005, has managed CountrySide and taught at her school since its opening with the help of her supportive husband, Bill.
6. Ms. Gottschalk has over 40 years of experience at various levels of early education, from founding and managing 4 nationally accredited child care centers to teaching at the university level, working in the corporate level of two of the largest child care franchising companies, to owning her own teacher training company. She was an adjunct instructor of UGA teaching child development Credential courses.
7. Helping young children reach their potential, becoming confident and independent, and offering the most optimal learning environment for them, these are areas that all of us at CountrySide focus on fiercely and with great passion. We guide children to become caring and responsible young people who will contribute to the betterment of this world in which we live.
