1. Make Your Own Masterpieces – with Art and Science! June 1-5^th

An all-time favorite, students will explore different media: painting with watercolor, chalk, making collages, mobiles, sculpting, and will make other uniquely creative projects with art techniques. Fascinating science projects will expand their understanding of the world around them! Children will also learn about American artist Georgia O’Keefe, Van Gogh, Wassily Kandinsky, and others! This is one of our most popular summer sessions; it is new and different from year to year, and of course, we will have much fun with creating our own unique masterpieces!! Daily use of and practice with all Montessori materials is an integral part of our Montessori Summer School program.

2. Dinosaurs, Bugs and Butterflies!” June 8-12^th

Children have an intriguing fascination with dinosaurs!  We will explore various species of dinosaurs inhabiting land, water and sky! We will examine their habits and possible reasons for extinction. In addition, learning about bugs and butterflies will offer insight into the world of insects. We hope that the children will share with us many kinds of insects that they find at home! Arts and crafts will be daily components, as well as other activities relating to these topics. Please feel free to share information, such as books, photos, and interesting items or short videos with us! This will be a fun and very educational week of exploration and activities! Daily use of and practice with all Montessori materials is an integral part of our Montessori Summer School program.

3. “Let’s Travel to Europe!” June 15- 19^th

Throughout this week, our children will learn about several European countries; how people live, and what customs they have. The children will taste well known foods from France, Germany, Greece, and Italy. We will also talk about important places, events, and people. If you have items or photos relating to Europe, please consider sharing them with us for a day. Art,  arts and crafts activities are incorporated each day! Daily use of and practice with all Montessori materials is an integral part of our Montessori Summer School program.

4. “Our Planets and the Solar System, and More!” June 22 –June26^th

Let’s discover the planets and explore the universe, one of our most popular summer camp themes!! Children will learn about planets, stars, meteors, and space explorations of the past! They will make their own personal planets and rockets which they will be able to take home, acquiring greater understanding of the world beyond our small planet earth! In addition, we will learn about volcanoes and make our own volcano in the classroom! Please feel free to share any photos, books, or interesting items with our class! Daily use of and practice with all Montessori materials is an integral part of our Montessori Summer School program.

Every week, children will enjoy water fun “Splish-Splash” days, special cooking activities, music, games, gardening, arts and crafts, and more!
