“Tis the Season!”

One of the highlights in December has to be our traditional “Holiday Family Celebration” which was held this year at the beautiful Apalachee Farms Clubhouse. Our theme was “Holidays around the World,” Parents brought dishes from their heritage, and we enjoyed the authentic cuisine s of Pakistan, The United States, India, Jordan, Vietnam, China, South American dishes, and more! It was truly an international delight, with flags and colorful paper chains brightening the spirits even more. Everyone enjoyed the songs and dances from many different countries, performed by the enthusiastic children! This year, for the first time, we hosted a “Parent-Child Ornament Making Workshop!” It was a huge success! For two hours children and parents made owls, exotic pine cone creatures, painted baked dough ornaments, made bead candy canes, and much more! This will have to be a yearly tradition for us! The room was buzzing with the happy chatter of our children; thank you to all who were able to join us!
