Week 1, Summer Art Program: Spanish and South American Artist, culture, and more!

We learned about Pablo Picasso and Cubism, admired the art of the Mexican artist Diego Rivera, created Mexican Metapac suns out of clay, made Brazilian carnival masks, and enjoyed recreating our own Romero Britto art! We listened to Samba music from Brazil and danced to the lively rhythm and sounds! Every day brought a new discovery into the colorful and creative world of art! Splish-Splash day is a favorite day for the children: we have water slides, mini pools, water games, and a garden hose with  sprinklers add extra fun to the playful activities!! Taking care of our beautiful garden areas is a joyful part of the day! On Friday we always look forward to  a special salad or culinary delight, such as an exotic salad with our own home grown lettuce, basil, mint, tomatoes, and more!
