Exciting June/July Summer Camp Program!

1.”Create Your Own Masterpieces, Highlighting Spanish and South American Artists and Cultures!” We will again taste delicious South American food, as well as listen and dance to South American music. We will enjoy the sounds, scenery, history and beauty of this diverse and fascinating continent!“We will also learn about famous artists from all around the world, their countries, and we will be inspired to express our own creativity!” June 1-5th, ages 3 to 7 years. We will explore cultural traditions and unique features through arts and crafts, art, inspiring art books, and photographs. The children will learn about impressionists, cubists, expressionists, post-expressionists, and some old masters! All camps are lively, packed with hands-on fun activities! This camp features many new artists and activities!
2. “Make Your Own Masterpieces” June 8 – 12th, ages 3 to 7 years. Students will paint with watercolor, draw with chalk, experiment, make collages, tie dye, make mobiles, sculpt, and will make other uniquely creative projects. This is one of our most popular summer camps! . We will continue to learn about world-famous artists and their masterpieces, including such as Renoir, Kandinsky, Monet, Degas, DaVinci, plus American artists and sculptors!!
3. All about Oceans! June 15-19th, ages 3 to 7 years. New exciting topic!!!Exploring the oceans of the world, ocean life, sea shells, crustaceans, fish, whales, dolphins and fauna, beaches and shores, what benefits the oceans have for us, and what kind of boats and ships we use to navigate the seas! We will have daily arts, crafts, and activities relating to these topics. We invite parents to share information, such as books, photos, and interesting items or short videos with us! This will be a fun and very educational week of exploration and activities!
4. “Curricular Enrichment Montessori Math Camp, & Exploring Math in Arts and Crafts!” June 22 – 26th (3-7 year olds) This curricular enrichment camp was immensely popular for the last two summers! The older children practice with the golden beads, and by using the Montessori Math materials, are able to grasp the concepts of quantities such as 10, 100, 1000, etc. (addition, multiplication, subtraction, division) As always, there will be water fun “Splish-Splash” days,” special cooking activities, music, games, gardening, arts and crafts, and more for all children!
5 Art and Science Camp- What’s in Our Back Yard? July 20 – 24th : We will explore the world of our back yard plants, animals, insects, and birds! Our famous artist to be studied will be Audubon, and others that celebrate the beauty of nature! As always, there will be water fun “Splish-Splash” days,” special cooking activities, music, games, gardening, arts and crafts, and more for all children!
6. “Getting ready to go back to school!” July 27- July 31 . This camp is especially helpful to children entering the first grade, as well as to children who will join CountrySide Montessori School for the first time. We will also review math, reading and writing skills in a fun and uplifting way, as always!
