Happy New Year 2015!
All of us at CountrySide Montessori School at the Little Mulberry Park wish you and
your family a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!
We hope that you had a peaceful and memorable holiday season with your family. Here at CountrySide Montessori School we are beginning the New Year with joy, hope and full of excitement to learn and discover new things! All of us are happy to be back at school! We look forward to another new successful and wonderful year, 2015!
Welcome back to school! Students will return on Wednesday, January 7th.
Open House, January 10th! CountrySide will host an Open House on Saturday, January 10, from 11:00 to 2:00 PM. Families attending our Open House will get the chance to win 3 or 5 days of Art Summer Camp in June. Last year, we had two winners! Please tell your friends and family about this opportunity to visit our beautiful AMI accredited CountrySide Montessori School, and to learn about the excellent educational foundation that our particular Montessori program provides for the children in our community! Also, the initial registration fee for new students is discounted by 50% for a limited time only, ending January 31st.
We Welcome Our New Students! Justin, Jayson and K.J.’s younger brother, will start attending CountrySide in January! We are so pleased to welcome him!
Happy Birthday! Gemma turned 3 years old on January 6th, Sebastian will be 4 years old on January 29th, and Clayton will celebrated his 3rd birthday January 3rd. Happy Birthday to all!
Carpool Volunteers Needed! Would you like to help us for about 20 minutes in the mornings, from 8:40-9:00 AM during either January, February, March, April, or May? Please email Ms. Hanne if you could assist us! We would greatly appreciate your help!
Spring, Summer Camp, Fall! Parents may sign up their children during the Open House for the Spring, Summer or Fall programs. This year again, we will offer our fun-filled, theme-oriented, educatonal summer camp sessions from 9:00-3:00 PM, as well as morning and other part- time options. Our all-day camps were very much in demand last summer! We are still deciding on the different weekly themes for this year. Our camps fill up quickly. Therefore, if you know that you want your child to attend one or all of our camps, please let us know as soon as possible. Our summer program will be finalized within the next two weeks. We will also have one or two weeks of camp in July; most likely the last week or two. Details will be forthcoming soon.
Fathers’ Night: On January 22nd, from 6:30-7:30 PM, all fathers, grandfathers, or uncles, are invited by their children as their honored guests for a special evening at CountrySide Montessori School. Children will have the opportunity to demonstrate some of the lessons they have learned during the course of the school year. You and your children will very much enjoy this memorable evening! If fathers cannot make it, mothers are welcome to come instead!
Morning Carpool: We need to remind everyone that class begins each morning promptly at 9:00 AM. A few students have been arriving later and later and it is truly a disruption to our class. Please make every effort to be here before 9:00 AM. If you arrive at the school after 9:00 AM, you will have to park and accompany your child into the classroom. Lateness effects both your child and the rest of the class. The early morning routine of changing shoes is very important to the children. It is also a special time when the students can socialize with each other, and they miss this opportunity when they arrive late. We sincerely appreciate your efforts towards complying with this important school policy. We would also like to thank the many parents who consistently arrive on time.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday: CountrySide Montessori School will be closed Friday , January 16th, and Monday January 19th in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend.
Re-Registration Time! Re-registration time is approaching fast for the new 2015/2016 Academic School Year. The Fall tuition will reflect a a small change. You will notice a $25.00 per month increase in tuition, or $250.00 for the year. We are, however, decreasing our $400.00 re-registration fee to $200.00, or 50% for you. This leaves a difference of $5.00, which is the actual monthly increase for each child. In order to secure your child’s place in the Fall, please register your child by February 5th.
***Parents, please support your child’s learning experience by reading with your son or daughter every night for 15 to 20 minutes. Thank you so much from Ms. Hanne!
Wish list: bags of plain bird seeds and some bags with nuts and berries for our birds!
If education is always to be conceived along the same antiquated lines of mere transmission of knowledge, there is little to be hoped from it in the bettering of man’s future. For what is the use of transmitting knowledge if the individual’s total development lags behind?
